Sharpton should have a fit, Jim Clyburn has endorsed Gephardt.
Aren't all major endorsements "Bossism"? Doesn't almost every famous person, politician or not, want to influence something as monumental as the Presidency?
I personally don't see a problem with endorsements. People I respect have endorsed Wes Clark, Dick Gephardt, and John Kerry. But has that influenced me?
Not one iota. I'm Dean all the way.
But you know, if I was undecided, I liked Dean and Clark, and Gore, in his best judgment said, "Dean is the best" I'd re-consider Dean.
Similarly, if I was deciding between Gephardt and Kerry, and Clyburn said, "Gephardt is the best" I might re-consider Gephardt.
Is that Undemocratic? Unfair? I don't think so.
